I cut out the photo and scanned it onto a black background to create a better and more authentic look.
Vintage Spring 1965 issue of Girl Wrestling Magazine. Dedicated to the world’s sexiest sport. Basically this is a pseudo wrestling magazine. Magazines such as this one claimed to be about a particular subject, in this case female wrestling, to avoid censorship issues. In reality they were basically just girlie, cheesecake and pin-up rags. I was an art student in the 1960s and have seen more than my share of these publications. Popular in their time - just not the audience they claim to be for. It’s always a thrill when it’s from Vinnie DeVille!
I decided to spiff up the clothes pins I use on my "inspiration" clothes line in my studio.
use 'em for anything! Clip together papers, hang stuff up, tag things in magazines...

These Chinese pin-up girls are on the go!! They live in the window of this delivery truck, and are admired by all.
Created this pin-up for a friend of mine. He races motorcycles and has a new bike that looks like a WWII bomber. He's going to have it made into a decal.

An attempt at retro pin-up look with model Sara Hamilton. Hair/make-up: Natalie Peachy.
The model was seated on a bar stool surrounded by three 4"x6" white light panels (left/right/back). The panel on the camera left had translucent scrim, while the other two panes were reflective white. Another 4"x4" translucent panel was on top. The floor was covered with white glossy floor board.
Three flashes were used for ambient/fill. Two SB-26 @ 1/4 power into the top panel and one SB-26 @ 1/4 power through the right panel. The main light was provided with PCB Einstein E640 @ 1/32 power into silver 22" beauty dish with silk cover right above the camera.
The seams in the light panels were removed in post.
